Rome...YEEAAHH

Hello my Sophisticurved lovelies, it is The Invisible Fashionista.

As promised I am back to tell you about my trip to Rome. It was breath taking the weather was so warm and beautiful. The city has so much history and character....absolutely gorgeous.

I am however officially on a carbohydrates detox!! I ate lots of pizza, pasta and ICE CREAM. The food is AMAZING so rich in flavour and tastes so good my hip are actually curvier then when I left. (getting hungry just thinking about it)

Italian boys are so so hot, their accents make you melt and they are so well groomed and well dressed ‘smiling’.
I won’t bore you with too much about my trip, taking take a look at the photos of all the sights and as promised I brought home Gucci, Prada and Valentino (well kinda brought them home).

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Hello My Sophisticurved Lovelies.......

I feel like am in a Fashion Mecca!!! I am in Rome...Ok I know it is not Milan but I am close.
Anyway.....It is gorgeous here. The food is amazing, so much history, I am really enjoying the company I am with and I think that is the best part. As always The Invisible Fashionista will go out shopping and see what Rome has to offer plus size people, European sizes are so small let’s hope I can fit into something and if all else fails, I will suck in the belly and push out the BOOOTY.
I will put pictures up on my return of all the historical sites and not forgetting Gucci and Prada!
Love you all.
Stay Big and Beautiful!!

Outfit pick of the week

Hey my lovelies....It's me The Invisible Fashionista your plus size fairy god mother!!

Below is my outfit pick of the week. My inspiration this week came from my friend she going to a gig this evening and she wanted some ideas of that to wear. My favorite item is the slouched top from H&M they have a few different designs and I fell in love when I saw them.....too cute!.

As always, I encourage plus size women to wear figure hugging items and I know the top is HUGE but when you wear the jacket also from H&M your curves will be defined more. I personally would wear a camisole underneath just to hold everything in place because we don't want too much jiggling when jumping up and down and dancing all night long!!!

Black skinny Jeans are from ASOS curve, I really like their selection of skinny jeans the fit is really nice and comfortable.

The short boots are from Aldo,I think the bow dealing on the side gives a nice feminine touch to the boot. Only a small heel but ladies...always carry flats in your bag!!

Top-H&M £9.99

Jacket- H&M £24.99

Black Skinny Jeans -ASOS Curve £28.00

Boots- Aldo 70.00

Jumpers and Cardies

Hello my Sophisticurved Ladies...It is your Plus Size Fairy God Mother checking in!!
This weekend I felt the cold weather and of course I had to reach for a jumper because my body finds it difficult to deal with the cold.

Don’t you really hate it when the weather deceives you? I mean the sun is shining in the morning and it looks warm and lovely through the window...then you open the window and the cold wind gives you a reality check it's autumn darling....get over it summer is GONEE!!

I am sure you may have noticed there is a lot of knitwear in the shops and it is a very big trend for this season. Knitwear is always good investment and important to buy good quality jumpers and cardigans because you will always use them next season and next year even, I do not live in a warm climate so knitwear will always come in useful. Vivienne Westwood could not have said it better this week at London Fashion Week A/W 2010“My message is choose well and buy less don’t buy anything new for six months and recycle your clothes” see it as a future investment this will save money in the long run.

My fav knitwear collections I have seen this season is Topshop. Topshop is very up to date, modern, young and vibrant the only problem is that they only go upto a size 16, however Marks & Spencer (http://www.marksandspencer.com/) have a great collection most of their clothes go up to a size 22. I also like the Dorothy Perkins collection this goes up to a size 22. Jumpers and cardigans can come up quite big so get a smaller size, I have the Knitted Crystal Turn Back Top in a size 12.

Topshop

Topshop
Knitted Lace Back Shrug £45.00

Dorothy Perkins

Pick of the week

Hello Sophisticurved women!!

Hope you’re all well and lovely for me!! This is The Invisible Fashionista your plus size Fairy God Mother!!!

I was thinking autumn is here....I am missing the warm summer weather!! It is time to put away those pretty summer dresses and body shimmer. The Autumn/Winter collections out on the high street are GORGEOUS loads of warm brown and camel colours (makes me feel like drinking hot chocolate).

I have decided to put together an outfit that can be worn during an evening event like dinner, date or even going to a party. Check it out.....

Top- Black lace blouson sleeve tunic top is from Dorothy Perkins. I really like the lace detailing specially the sleeves this will cover up any bat wings you want to hide. The camel colour under the black lace is very in this season and of course it is figure hugging to show off those curves.

Leggings- Ankle leggings are a must with this tunic. I would usually wear tights with tunics and this can look very nice however you may find that the length of this particular tunic is too short to wear with tights. If you are wearing leggings you should always cover your booty - jiggling booty’s are not cute at any size!

Shoes-As we all know the shoes are the most important part of an outfit, so I have chosen two pairs! Both pairs of shoes are from Barretts Shoes. I like Barretts Shoes because they have larger sizes and some shoes come in wide fit, generally they have something for everyone and they are reasonably priced

Shoe style one - Black Gardenia Glitter Platform – I love glitter...whoop whoop!

Shoe style two- Black Gardenia Suede Court Shoe- I love this style of shoes. Ladies please...please remember when you’re wearing open toe shoes, your nails need to be painted or nude looking cute....no chipped nail polish please...ugly feet are not cute!

I'm BAACCKK

Hello my Sophisticurved ladies.

This is your plus size fairy god mother - The Invisible Fashionista!!

I have been away for a hot minute because I have been rethinking this blog. When I originally started it I wanted it to be a place where you can all come and share my love and passion for fashion. I wanted to add more to your blogging experience with me. To be honest simple "outfit of the day" items are just  not cutting it.

I have decided to take a slightly different direction. I will be reviewing what is out there for us to buy and how it should be put together. I shop mostly in the high street shops like River Island and Dorothy Perkins this is where all my inspiration comes from. I want to keep you all up to date with what’s hot and what’s not. I will walk you through where to shop and let you know how I’ve learnt to stay sophisticated, fashionable and, dare I say, fabulous in London being plus size.

My Sophisticurved Fashionista this blog is dedicated to you....so please give me suggests, let me know what you like and what you don’t like!!

I love you all my Plus Size Curvy women and I just want us to all look HOT.

Remember love yourself and the rest of the world will love you too...Big Girls you are BEAUTIFUL!!!

Love

The Invisible Fashionista!!!
